Chasidy (Heightchew) Bastin is a Henry County native and a paralegal at Zaring & Sullivan. She graduated from Henry County High School in 1993 at the top of her class and attended the University of Louisville and Sullivan University, where she earned a degree in paralegal studies, graduating summa cum laude. Chasidy started her career in the legal field very early, working part-time for an attorney while she was still in high school. After college, she worked for local law firm, Berry & Floyd, P.S.C., for 7 years before joining Alan Zaring in establishing Zaring Law Office, P.S.C. in 2003.

Chasidy’s degree and experience are a great asset to Zaring & Sullivan. From the beginning, she has looked at her position as more than just a “job,” but a life-long career in which she is fully invested. Chasidy is eager to assist clients with their legal needs, and is of great assistance in legal research and document preparation. Her organizational skills as Office Manager are instrumental in keeping the practice running efficiently and effectively as well.

Chasidy has been married to her husband, John, since 1995, and together they have three children, two of whom they adopted through the Kentucky foster care system. Chasidy is passionate about adoption and strives to stay on top of developments in adoption law in particular. In her spare time, Chasidy enjoys camping with her family, scrapbooking, and shopping. Chasidy is also an active member of Shelby Christian Church.
